Performances.

Starting something from nothing is a talent that i believe each of the raw members possess. When the crew started up it wasn't all about making choreography and going to do shows all around. As Time progressed we decided it was time to move on from simply piecing dances and choreo we learned into routines. We decided it was time to make a set, well it ended up being a 7.25minute set lol. We incorporated many styles of dance and blow ups and crowd pleasing material. It turned out to be that long i guess becuase we had that much to let out and it was built to entertain. With this new set we were able to perform it at many different venues changing it slighty for different crowds or cultures or switching a slow song for a hype song and vise versa.

Id Personally like to believe that Raw Dance Crew is in high demand and with the new set were working on now i cant wait to kill it in summer. we have alot of shows lined up for all ranges and different venues.

To "rise as we" we have in a nut shell two breakers two poppers and two choreographers that are hip hop based. Despite all the different styles we bring to the table we dont just dance as individuals we dance together as a team not leaving any member behind. If its a breaking set we all help each other and if its a popping or hip hop set we all help each other that way never putting someone out of the mix.


There is alot of people that id say have our back.
This section of my lil blurb is for all those who has being there for Raw crew. Theres some talk about raw being cocky and stuck up. That isn't case, if you do something great be proud of it correct? If you surround yourself with positive people and do great things be proud correct? well now that thats out of the way, Ah ha.

Nu - lite entertainment helping us threw all the hardships getting a few shows and opportunities for us bringing us with them and yuri tag to montreal for a very big venue. WE appreciate everything Nulite does for us. so check em out thats - www.nuliteent.com

If you dont know they have there own show called the taeko & yuri show. Raw was able to be there opening act at there first Toronto performance at level night club thanks to nu lite once again. after wards we built a relationship with the girls, attending there workshops learning a bit of there style. Traveling to Montreal to do the charity venue with yuri she gave us some key advice. WE appreciate it.
Dont think we forgot about you taeko. we wish we could see you more and hopefully u can come out to Toronto. you are Greatly missed!

special thanks goes out to Bao of lifetime entertainment for inviting us to perform at his C.A.S.S charity event for there award ceremony. That night inspired me to create a fan page, for many reasons if u can guess<3


And of course big big shout outs goes to J Reyez .. local korean artist doing it big.
this dude is a humble dude and we have lots of respect for him for letting us ride with him on some of the shows he gets booked for dancing for him and performing along side him and his "hype man" kin karma has always been a pleasure. Looking forward to many more in the future.

Alright so its 1.23am in the morning and i believe i have covered all that was on my mind this blurb might seem like a huge promotion spam but honestly we have alot of people on our side supporting what we do. and what is it that we do.... we dance we all have a passion for the same thing and that is what brought us together not just a team not just a crew but a family. RAW CREW @ MONTREAL

Thanks to Nulite Entertainment,

we went on a tour with Yuri Tag from Kaba Modern to Montreal. It was hard work but at the end it was worth it. we practice hard for our set, a lot of the time we always get chinsed because our practice spot is taken by some other people..theres one time we end up practising outside in the cold (-20'c) just to finish our formation.

So it was finally the date to Montreal (Feb 27 09)

..we didn't sleep the whole night, we went to David Forteau's house to wait for our ride... BLAH BLAH BLAH CHILLED. And the ride is MAD LONG holy crap, made some video on the blah blah..when we get to Montreal, you can't believe it..omg there is some CRAZY DRIVERS out there..we almost like got into accident at least 5 times LOL.

At the night of the performance

..it was pretty dope, it was pretty live haha. when we sat down with NuLite, and Yuri Tag..SOME waiter came up to us and started to speak French and we were just like..awww....we...don't..speak..french..LOL. After the performance, we just jammed away with the music, the DJ is mad good btw( don't know his name but..)

EATING OUT

..so after the show we went out to eat, it was jokes actually, i don't know what Montreal people were thinking, but ALL the road is FREAKING uphill, we actually got stuck once because the road is really icy..all you smell is burnt tires when we try to get up of the hill..After the long struggle we ended up in this China Town.. People asked us to try Peanut Dumplin and we were just like WHAT'S thats mad gross..but it end up tasting REALLLLLLLLY GOOD (it's normal dumplin with peanut sauce).

Hotel

..afterwards chilling with everybody we end up in our hotel, oh man we were so tired but we wanted to swim.. GUESS WHAT WE GOT CHINSED AGAIN! the pool was closed LOL. we end up watching videos on youtube and stuff and just chill around....and we passed out.

Next day

..it was sad, we have to leave to go back to Toronto..=( NuLite and Yuri didn't come with us because Yuri had to do a workshop up there..so we went back..LONG ASS RIDE..and right when we got off..we catch Gigi's workshop. haha.

The whole trip is really dope man, from crazy driver to performing for cancer society..it was good cause. haha. Watch out for RAW. :) our new set will be BETTER THAN EVER..the one we di was rushed cuz we didnt have enough time.. so it wasnt the way we wanted it to be =(. oh well.

*btw, i mention the word CHINSED..it's the word we use in our crew..it means rip off..for example you ask for a refill and they only refill up to half. CHINSED!

Raw Crew

This is Raw's first blog. just a small intruction about us.

Short RAW Introduction.

It's actually a long story, but in short. Mikey Le and Jimmy Lin Created RAW Crew on August 2007 when they first started dancing. David Forteau, Gregory Villarico, Ian Onilla and James Lee Murphy was later recurited into the crew. We have chosen these people because we share the same passion in dance. and orginally RAW stand for Rhythm As Weapon but was later changed to Rise As We because we have decided to rise together as a family to the top due to our constant struggle in everyday lifes.
